| Q: | I noticed that the parcel boundaries are displaying when I zoom in on the map of the County, I also have the aerial photograph displayed. How accurate is this data? |
| A: | The Survey Records System uses the Assessor Parcel Boundaries that SanGIS maintains. The accuracy of this data is variable. Parcel lines that have changed in the past 4 or 5 years are accurate to within a fraction of a foot. This is due to stricter standards for maintenance of this data in recent years. However, parcel lines that have not changed in the past 15 years can have errors of upwards of 40 ft. Regarding the aerial photograph, urban areas are generally accurate to within 10 ft. whereas non-urban areas can display errors upwards of 30-40 ft. |

| A: | This is due to a refresh issue with Windows. Make sure to first maximize your screen and then hit the F5 button. |

| Q: | I searched by street intersection and the Survey Records System did not find the intersection. |
| A: | Try using variations on the abbreviations, for instance blvd. or rd. State highways can be found by searching for the highway number with SR as the prefix rather than HWY. |
